We are so excited to bring you another summer of field-fresh tasty treats at Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm! On Opening Day, you can expect these freshly harvested treats: strawberries, rhubarb, carrots, radishes, cucumbers, broccoli, arugula, salad mix, collard greens, baby spinach, green kale, scarlet kale, spring onions, candy yellow onions, maybe more and herbs (tarragon, peppermint, chocolate mint, anise hyssop, lemon balm). We will also have all the other tasty treats as indicated below (mushroom types: cremini, shitake, oyster).

Saturdays, 9am-1pm, Mid-May through Mid-September
Ready to serve you rain or shine (unless lightning or high winds)
Turn in at 7957 Hollow Road, Middletown, MD 21769
Drive past the farm tents and park just on the other side in the grass
If you ordered ahead, come up to the register and tell us who you are (usually items ready for ordering on Mondays; only a few items up for opening day)
If you want to browse, come on under the tents and take a look
Ask questions about the produce, your garden, our farm, cooking classes, and chocolates -- Chef/Farmer Mark will be happy to share what he knows
Most forms of payment accepted
Live Here, Grow Here, Sell Here
Most of what we sell at our Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm On-Farm Market, we grow right here, in the fields and high tunnel you see around you when you visit us!
Throughout the season, the fruits, herbs, and vegetables sold under the tents will change depending on what is ripe and ready for picking that week.
We use sustainable growing practices with no chemicals.
We have compostable bags, but encourage you to bring reusable ones too.
Most weeks we will have house-made sourdough bread, local honey that comes partly from our hives, and house-made artisan chocolates (with flavors that rotate during the season).
Partnering to Sell Other Local Treats
We grow and make lots of things, but we there are only so many hours in the day. So, we partner with other local folks too. You can regularly find:
Locally raised farm-fresh eggs
Locally grown mushrooms (opening day varieties are cremini, shitake, oyster)
Locally made baked goods (our regulars will be happy to know that Chef Missy from The Preppy Chef and Chef Elise from Hen & Hearth are back this year!). We know several canine friends that crave Chef Missy's dog treats!
Join a Culinary Adventure, Nurture Your Inner Chef
We continue to offer cooking classes (can you believe it is Year 3 of The Learning Kitchen?) Summer classes are mostly on Sunday afternoons, Monday evenings, and Thursday evenings. Contact us if you want to book a private class for your family, coworkers, or customers.
NEW THIS YEAR AND NOT YET SOLD OUT (as of the day I posted this blog):
Seasonal Market Basket Surprise: Hands-On -- An active, in on the action class featuring recipes of whatever is harvested from the field that day (a mix of hot and cold dishes, could be sweet and savory) -- one class per month May-August
Seasonal Market Basket Surprise: Demonstration and Tasting -- Relax and enjoy your very own cooking show, ask questions, and get a lunch-sized tasting portion. Dishes are a mix of hot and cold and whatever the "catch-of-day" is from the field
Elegant and Fun Bite-sized Dipped Chocolate Desserts (June and August)
Inspired by Thai Flavors: Hands On (June and August)
Some Kitchen favorites have seats left too (but don't wait too long):
Making Chocolate Snap & Shine (tempering) -- the science of chocolate
Fresh Berries: Curds, Custards, and Creams (June and July) -- yes, we grow strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries here
Gift cards for The Learning Kitchen at Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm are good for one year. Classes are generally offered mid-February through mid-December.
