July is peak season at Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm
partly because it is the peak month for our namesake (TOMATOES),
partly because it is a peak growing and harvesting month for the Maryland climate in general, and
as the middle of summer it is also a transition month throughout the field -- turning under spent crops and planting cover crops for soil renewal, sowing new seeds, and a daily cycle of ripening and harvesting!
