Three Outdoor Markets Left for 2025

Saturday, August 23 marks Week 14 of the 2025 Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm on-farm, outdoor market season.

  • The red and white tents will be welcoming you, 9am-1pm, for three more Saturday visits this year: August 23, August 30, and September 13

    • Yes, we are skipping September 6 -- Mark has an exciting culinary learning opportunity to attend; we will tell you more when he gets back

  • Throughout the season we return nutrients to the soil and this time of year all those pretty white flowers you see in our field are the way we do that (buckwheat cover crop)

Many Routes to Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm

We appreciate there are many routes to Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm

  • Whether you live near or far, you can find a route (scroll to the bottom for local options) from our 2023 blog post

    • Avoid expected traffic and maybe a detour for turning right from U.S. 40 Alt (gas stations and Bill Moran Museum) onto Hollow Road

Two things will be happening between Layla Drive and U.S. 40 Alt where you may want to/need to avoid that part of Hollow Road starting late August - early September.

Plus Plenty More Melons, Peppers, Veggies, Basil and more! Where Summer and Fall Overlap

We are at the season where summer and fall overlap

  • some folks are taking the last of summer vacations and others are back to school

  • plants are making their transitions too from hot weather to cool weather beauties

  • be sure to enjoy the last of those summer favorites and the short window when you can make those special summer-fall dishes with freshly harvested local ingredients

Some of what you will see at the Week 14 on-farm market at Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm
