Fresh from the field watermelon, purple potatoes, and sweet corn join the long list of items that you can find at the Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm On-Farm Market this Saturday, July 29, 9am-1pm under the red and white tents at 7957 Hollow Road, Middletown, MD 21769.
Some Parts of Hollow Road Under Construction -- Most of Road is Open
You may see a sign saying "Hollow Road Closed" if you are coming from 40-West (Baltimore National Pike) and we are expecting some pipe replacement work to occur between Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm and Valley View. We are not certain what you will see or run into on Saturday, so we have created a map with some alternative routes for you just in case. If you usually reach us from 40-ALT or Layla (the main road in Foxfield), then we don't expect that you will have any troubles.
Tasty Treats Returning to Market This Week
Below are some pictures from last week's market. We will still have all of these tasty treats and even more tomato varieties! Yes, we grow all this an more here at Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm. This is what happens when your farmer is also a chef -- he grows what he wants to cook with to give you ingredients you will love! Some of these tasty treats are available for advance purchase by 11pm Thursdays before the market.
Zinnia Patch is Back
We have been holding our breath wondering when the zinnias would appear. If you are facing the tents, these are on the right-hand side of the parking area. Feel free to walk over and take a look. You can even cut yourself a bloom for the road. You are likely to see pollinators frolicking and feeding like the butterfly in the picture below.
